Vespers – Put Down the Gun Open Source Template

$39.95

Product Description

Put Down the Gun is a dubby, glitch hop stormer that I released on Pop + Lock Records. It’s a very organic sounding piece, with flutes, trumpets and lots of tribal percussion. Vocal styles are courtesy of MC Vex.

This tune uses only Ableton devices, so if you have Ableton Live version 8.2.2 or later, you can open and run it no problem. This set is perfect for anyone interested in learning how to mix acoustic instruments, vocals and lots of ethnic percussion seamlessly together with some nasty sub-bass and wobbles.

I guarantee you’ll walk away from this set with:

  1. New ideas and inspiration for how to use Ableton and it’s Instruments and Effects
  2. An easy method to prepare your tracks and organize your scenes and clips for DJing in Session view
  3. Specially designed Effects settings and Racks for processing vocals, instruments, bass, drums and synths
  4. Tons of new sounds and samples to work with.

Requirements: You must have Ableton version 8.2.2 or later to run this template set.  You can upgrade your version here: http://www.ableton.com/latest-versions

What You Get

  1. The entire Ableton set folder complete with:
    • All the samples used in the track
    • Device patches and settings
    • 6 new custom Return Track Racks
  2. A mastered .wav file of the final track
  3. A video walking you through the whole set, step by step
  4. A special Session view setup for DJing

[..YouTube..] @wrathallll I’ve had the fortune of being able to get a hold of the ableton projects for several of my friends who actively produce and release and to be blunt you can watch youtube videos and tutorial dvds all day but there’s nothing like being able to pick apart a fully finished song thats been signed and released, top quality, and see a real finished product. i cant help but notice he offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee so what exactly are you risking by checking it out? nothing.

[..YouTube..] @joeblack949 Ableton is a (no pun intended) sound investment. whereas a template…….is just a template

[..YouTube..] @jindagreatlee In regards to the open source concept, you nailed it. That’s exactly what I mean. Exposing the “code” of the track.

[..YouTube..] For all you cheap asses. How about you stop being cheap and save up the money. If you don’t want to pay for it, then don’t buy it. Simple. Nothing is free in this world. Open source means the “source code” or “blue print” is free to be used by the public. However, he is selling this as a package deal! This is common for open source.

[..YouTube..] @1nfinitezer0 Open source doesn’t always mean “Free”. Open source is the “blue print” or “source code” that is open and allowed to be modified by the public. However, it can be sold in a packaged deal which DJVespers is doing.

This is why I like DJVespers because he is trying to help other people understand how things work and flow together. But, remember he has to make a living and nothing is really free in this world.

    Rating by on :

[..YouTube..] @1nfinitezer0 Open source in this context means exposing the “code” of the track, not giving it away for free. Seeing as people need education and music is primarily pirated, I figured it wasn’t too much of a stretch to ask you guys to chip in some bucks for a sophisticated and instructive template complete with samples, device presets, racks, mastering chain, DJ effects etc. Cheers!

[..YouTube..] I’m a little confused by what you mean by open source? I don’t see the open source tag usually conferred to products that cost money. Great vid nonetheless. It’s always great to see examples of completed projects.

He thinks he knows too much and telling you what you have to do.
